Lorde, Flight of the Conchords write song for New Zealand’s Rugby World Cup side

Kimbra and Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson also on board for charity single

Some of the biggest Kiwi stars have come together this week to write a charity “fight song” for the country’s Rugby World Cup side.

Lorde, Flight Of The Conchords, Kimbra and, somehow, Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson are all on board for the song, which supports the Cure Kids charity, helping to draw attention to Batten disease.

A video has been released of the acts joking about and working on the track in the studio. It also features a unicorn, obviously, and a wonderful number of rugby lyric puns.

Watch the 15-minute clip below.

The official All Blacks supporters song is here! Our charity partner Cure Kids joined forces with an impressive line-up of Kiwi entertainers and the players themselves to raise funds to help cure Batten disease and support the team. Head over to the Cure Kids page to find out more, visit www.kiwiscurebatten.com or comment #donate below to download the song and make a donation to help #KiwisCureBatten. #TeamAllBlacks #CureKidsNZ
