Lorde gives an update on new album at Golden Globes

Lorde attended the Golden Globes Awards on Sunday, in which she briefly chatted with MTV about the follow up to her debut album ‘Pure Heroine’. Lorde recently contributed ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’ to The Hunger Games soundtrack, which was nominated for a Best Original Song in a Motion Picture Award, though it lost out to John Legend and Common’s track ‘Glory’ which is taken from Selma.

Speaking to MTV on the red carpet, Lorde said that she would be taking her time with her new album. “I have no timeline - I really don’t care”, she explained. “For me I have to kind of write a project lyrically before I attack it musically. So I’ve written a lot of amazing stuff and I’m just tentatively starting to make it music”.
