Never be royal
Lorde got ignored by an Uber driver who was too excited by the “celebrity” he’d just driven
Turns out taxi drivers aren’t particularly well versed in pop star 101.

It’s hard to tell who had more of a shocker here - Lorde, or her poor, unsuspecting taxi driver.
Taking to Twitter last night, the New Zealand mega-star live-tweeted an Uber journey in which her driver was, er, “busting a nut” (lovely wording) over the celebrity he’d just driven. Lorde remained unrecognised. The poor, Grammy Award-winning sausage.
“I can tell our ride, by comparison, sparkles significantly less for him,” she lamented. “I can feel it from the back seat, his dazed glow. He’s probably now pretending that I am not here, that they are still together, and alone.”
Still, it’s a decent tragic tale for that new album, eh? Speaking of which, where’s that got to mate?
