Lorde is “trying new things” on her second album, says Joel Little
Producer and collaborator is working with the New Zealander on new material.
Joel Little - Lorde’s collaborator on debut album ‘Pure Heroine’ - has given an update on how LP2 is shaping up.
Speaking to Billboard at the 32nd annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards earlier this week, he confirmed that they were making progress, and that “a couple of songs” had been written.
Elaborating, he said: “We haven’t done a whole lot of production on it yet, we just want to make sure the songs are really good and try and experiment with some new things - just different beats and whatever occurs in the studio.”
“We can take the time to make sure we’ve explored every option,” he said, adding that the pair are “trying new things”.
Work is thought to have begun on Lorde’s second album back in March. Debut album ‘Pure Heroine’ came out in 2013.
