Lorde reveals new album title is inspired by her 2019 Antarctica trip
Although she’s not giving away the name just yet…
After last month’s news that Lorde will be releasing a new photo-book, ‘GOING SOUTH’, following her journey to Antarctica in early 2019, she has now confirmed that the trip inspired the name of her upcoming album!
Speaking to New Zealand’s Newshub, she says, “It’s such an alien environment and it’s so dazzling, straight away. I had this very distinct moment of thinking, ‘This is the coolest your life will ever get. Like, this is it’.”
“I actually decided on the album name right around that trip,” she continues. “Just coming back from that trip I thought: ‘This is what it is’.”
Still keeping hush about any more info, revisit our review of her last album ‘Melodrama’ now.
