A little earlier in the month the beady-eyed pop-heads Lorde
Fix spotted that the Republic Records website had revealed something new by
Lorde with a “confidential title” would be coming out on 7th March.
Now, to add fuel to the fire, ‘Saturday Night Live’ revealed
on Twitter who its musical guests for March were. The first is Father John
Misty (there to promote his upcoming album ‘Pure Comedy’, which couldn’t be
more apt). The second, on 11th March, is Lorde.
That means she’ll be performing just a few days after
whatever that “confidential title” is drops (whether it be a single or an
album), and it’s doubtful she’d go on just to be a big ol’ tease and sing old
material.
So, this definitely means that new music by Lorde will be
emerging in the next couple of weeks. Strap yourself in folks, impact is
imminent!
