Militarie Gun announce deluxe edition of ‘God Save The Gun’ with Mannequin Pussy collaboration ‘World’s Always Burning’

LA’s Militarie Gun have announced a deluxe edition of last year’s acclaimed album ‘God Save The Gun’. Set for release on 7th August via Loma Vista Recordings, the expanded release features three new tracks, including today’s newly unveiled single ‘World’s Always Burning’, featuring Mannequin Pussy.

The additional songs were originally recorded during the ‘God Save The Gun’ sessions but ultimately held back, with vocalist Ian Shelton explaining they felt like the beginning of a new chapter rather than fitting the album’s inward-looking perspective. “These songs started to form into the feeling of finally coming to after being so caught up in your own head, and then realising the rest of the world is still out there and you haven’t been actively participating,” he says.

Militarie Gun are currently concluding their European headline run before returning to North America for their 20 Songs for 20 Dollars tour this September. The band will also appear at New York’s CBGB Festival ahead of supporting Sex Pistols on a string of West Coast dates in October.
