Militarie Gun share new single 'Throw Me Away', schedule UK & European headline tour • News • DIY Magazine

Los Angeles’ Militarie Gun are back with another slice of their forthcoming second album, ‘God Save The Gun’.

Fresh from sharing the album’s lead single, ‘B A D I D E A’, last month, the band are back with ‘Throw Me Away’, a sun-drenched, propulsive banger of a track that revels in self-doubt and anxiety. “‘Throw Me Away’ is about the feeling of only being valued when you’re visible or useful and the desperate need to hold onto that,” the band’s Ian Shelton has said. “What someone loves about you one day might be cited as a reason they hate you now. It’s the desire for external validation and also the deep resentment of it.”

The track gets lifted from their second album - the follow-up to their debut ‘Life Under The Gun’, which was released back in 2023, and 2024 EP ‘Life Under The Sun’ - which is set for release on 17th October via Loma Vista Recordings. Alongside the new of their latest single, the band have also announced plans for a hefty run of UK and European shows in early 2026. Tickets for their newly-announced shows go on sale from 10am tomorrow (Friday 12th September).
