Missy Elliott set to close proceedings at this year’s Bestival

Missy Elliott has been confirmed as the Sunday night headliner at this year’s Bestival.

The hip hop star has announced that she’ll be closing proceedings on the final night of this year’s weekender, which takes place at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight this September.

Speaking of her first performance in the UK in nine years, Missy Elliott herself has said: “I’m very excited to be performing at Bestival this year! I can’t wait to see all my fans I haven’t seen in some time… new ones and my day one fans! We are gonna have a blast together! Bring your dancing outfits and kicks!”

She’ll be joining the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Muse, Tame Impala and Underworld, who have all been previously confirmed to appear at the fest.

Elsewhere on the line-up for the event, which takes place from 10th to 13th September, you’ll find the likes of FKA Twigs, Charli XCX. Skrillex and Duran Duran.
