Modest Mouse share ‘Lampshades on Fire’ video, starring Natasha Lyonne

“This is what I really call a party now,” runs the mantra of Modest Mouse’s lead ‘Lampshades on Fire’ single, and for an accompanying video, they attempt to replicate every severe aspect of the most surreal party ever.

The new clip - directed by Jorge Torres-Torres - stars Natasha Lyonne from Orange is the New Black, featuring in one of approximately a hundred split-second shots ranging from drug freak outs to clips of animals being thrown from buildings. Talk about a bad trip.

Modest Mouse’s new ‘Strangers to Ourselves’ album is out now.

The band are expected to release a quick follow-up to their new album. Speaking to HMV, frontman Isaac Brook said: “I’m pretty far along with the next one as it is. I went in to making this one with two records in mind… It’ll be released as quickly as it’s legally allowed to be. It’s a partner to this one.”
