Muse confirm first 2015 festival headline appearances

Muse have confirmed their first festival headline appearances for 2015, setting the rumour bill further abuzz as to a potential Glastonbury set.

With a new album due out in 2015, the band have confirmed headline slots for Munish’s Rockavaria, Nurburg’s Der Ring and Austria’s Rock In Vienna. A statement says “Stand by for additional announcements.”

All three festivals are also set to be headlined by Metallica and Kiss.

Work on Muse’s seventh studio album began in May of last year. “If we can get something out this year, that would be great, but definitely next year,” said drummer Dominic Howard to KROQ.

A new album will follow-up 2012’s ‘The 2nd Law’.

Muse are heavily rumoured to be playing Glastonbury 2015 - catch up with DIY’s speculative piece about potential headliners, also featuring Fleetwood Mac and Prince.
