Muse, Fleetwood Mac and AC/DC favourites to headline Glastonbury 2015
Those who want tickets need to register before 11.59pm tonight.
With tickets going on sale this Sunday, Fleetwood Mac, Muse and AC/DC have emerged as the bookies’ favourites to headline Glastonbury 2015.
Organiser Michael Eavis has yet to confirm any names for next June’s bill, but following the 2014 event, he said: “We’ve got three headliners already and that’s without Prince. We’ve got some good headliners. We had an agent [for a band] yesterday on the platform by the stage watching Metallica with me, saying ‘My band want to do it next year’. Is it a British artist? He’s definitely British, but the band are not British any more.”
William Hill are listing Fleetwood Mac as favourites to headline the Sunday night, at 4/1.
Muse and AC/DC are meanwhile listed at 5/1 to make an appearance. Oasis and Kate Bush have odds of 8/1. with Radiohead, U2, The Libertines and Iron Maiden all among those in the running.
Slightly more outlandish headline bets include Adele, David Borie and One Direction.
Today (30th September) marks the last day that Glastonbury-goers can register to buy tickets for 5th October. Those wishing to go need to register in advance with ID and details from 11.59pm tonight.
