Muse Look Set To Aim For ‘Radically Different’ New Album

The band are currently working on the follow-up to their 2009 effort ‘The Resistance’.

Muse have recently revealed that they plan for their newest album to be ‘radically different’.

Speaking recently to Kerrang! magazine, bassist Chris Wolstenholme said that the band plan to ‘move on’ from the sound of their previous album.

Wolstenholme said: ‘[The band] feel like we are drawing a line under a certain period of what we’ve done in our career. It feels like it’s time to move on and do something radically different.’

He did, however, also admit that their sixth album was proving that it’s not easy to plan how an album will take shape, until the writing and recording processes begin.

‘You could get into the studio and go back to what you’re comfortable with. You get in the studio and there’s a natural process and you have to see where a song will take you.’

Muse’s latest album is set to be released in late 2012 and the band have not yet revealed any details regarding its producer.
