Muse are set to take new album ‘Simulation Theory’ on a world stadium tour next year, and have announced an additional UK date to the run.
The tour will begin in the US in February, and, in addition to London and Manchester shows at the start of June, the band will now also play Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium.
The band will play the home of Bristol City on 5th June.
We recently spoke to Muse about their new record, and plans for the stadium tour in a new interview. “With this record, [the live element is] going to be more challenging,” bassist Chris Wolstenholme told us.
“We have Morgan [Nicholls] in the band - the keyboard player - and he bears the responsibility for a lot of those sounds, and I’m sure there’s going to be a fair bit of instrument-swapping and various other things going on. We’ve toyed with the idea of having other performers on stage with us, rather than pushing the technology element, which is what we did with the ‘Drones’ tour, and trying to create something more theatrical, with more people.”
