Muse return with new track, ‘Psycho’
The song features on the trio’s seventh album, ‘Drones’.
Yesterday saw a lot of questions answered (and yet more asked, mostly by Matt Bellamy himself) as Muse announced details of their seventh album, ‘Drones’.
‘Psycho’ is available to purchase right now on iTunes. Watch a lyric video below.
‘Drones’, co-produced by the band alongside Robert “Mutt” Lange, will be out on 8th June, with the first single proper, ‘Dead Inside’ out 23rd March.
Speaking of the record, the band’s Matt Bellamy has said: “To me, ‘Drones’ are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors.”
In addition, the band announced a short UK tour, beginning 16th March at Belfast’s Ulster Hall (Tickets are long sold-out. Sorry). Support on the tour comes from Marmozets.
