Chart update
Muse score first U.S number one as ‘Drones’ tops Billboard 200
Seventh album is also top of the UK charts.
Muse have topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic, in turn scoring their first ever Stateside number one.
‘Drones’ has gone straight to the top of the US Billboard 200, with the seventh album selling 79,000 copies in its first week. It also sits pretty at the top of the UK’s Official Albums Chart.
It’s the second week running that a UK artist has topped the U.S. charts. Florence + The Machine’s ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’ achieved the same feat last week - this time round, the Glastonbury headliner drops to #4.
This summer sees Muse appearing at Bilbao BBK Live, Roskilde Festival and Rock Werchter, following a headline slot at Download 2015.
Muse will play Bilbao BBK Live (9th-11th July), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
