Muse tease expanded reissues of their first two albums
After unveiling their new one-off single ‘Dig Down’ last week, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy recently took to Twitter to answer fans’ questions, and he dropped a couple of hints about what the band’s got up their sleeves. He alluded to an upcoming new release called ‘Origin of Muse’, which would contain reissues of the band’s first two albums, ‘Showbiz’ and ‘Origin of Symmetry’. He said that these re-releases would come alongside “early rare demos and rare stuff etc”, and that’d it be “a kind of autobiography of music”. While he mentioned that the collection would feature a few unheard tracks, he prefers the term “terrible old demos, not songs”. Matt was also asked for a hint about what fans could expect from their headline set at this year’s Reading & Leeds. Seems like the idea of expanding the concept of their “by request” club tour has rubbed off on them, as he ponders: “Not sure yet. Was wondering if we should do it by request?” Get thinking about what your dream Muse set would be then… See Matt’s tweets and the video for ‘Dig Down’ below.
