Naaz shares intriguing ‘Bits Of Naaz’ EP
An extremely exciting, varied introduction.
Kurdish singer Naaz, born and raised in Holland, has shared her debut EP ‘Bits Of Naaz’.
An extremely exciting, varied introduction, the release concerns her strict, conservative upbringing, but is transmitted by sunny, ultimately positive pop bangers.
Helmed by single ‘As Fun’, huge choruses are peppered across the record’s eight tracks with abandon, and already feel like potential radio-minglers. It seems like she knows it too: “Could be someone some day,” she sings on opener ‘Someday’.
“I wrote ‘As Fun’ to pay tribute to feeling, whether the emotion is good or bad,” she explains of the single, and across ‘Bits Of Naaz’, it leans far towards the former.
