New Order declare ‘Music Complete’ with new album

The record will be the band’s first studio release since 2005’s ‘Waiting For The Siren’s Call’.

New Order have announced details of their new album, ‘Music Complete’, due on 25th September - listen to a snippet of new material below. The record will be the band’s first studio release since 2005’s ‘Waiting For The Siren’s Call’, and their first since signing with Mute.

“I don’t think we’d ever finish [an album] if we didn’t have someone to tell us to stop,” drummer Stephen Morris told Rolling Stone earlier this year. “It’s hard to let something you’re working on go.”

“Some people may say that electronic music is cold and unromantic,” guitarist Bernard Sumner added. “That’s true in a way, but now a computer is able to translate exactly what your brain is thinking. That’s exciting. It’s what we were trying to achieve in the 1980s.”

The track listing is as follows:

Restless
Singularity
Plastic
Tutti Frutti
People On The High Line
Stray Dog
Academic
Nothing But A Fool
Unlearn This Hatred
The Game
Superheated

The album will be released on CD, download and limited edition clear vinyl. There will also be an eight-piece deluxe vinyl collection that includes the album plus extended versions of all 11 tracks on coloured vinyl.
