London’s Night Flight share the contemplative folk of ‘Parade’

The track comes from the band’s upcoming second EP ‘Carousel’.

London’s Night Flight have returned with details of their new EP, and we’ve got the first play of its brilliant, contemplative lead track ‘Parade’.

‘Carousel’ comes out on 1st June via CRC Records, and ‘Parade’ recalls the earthy beauty of Fleet Foxes in its breezy but reflective nature, and the gorgeous vocals of Sam Holmes.

Speaking of the track in a press release, Holmes says: “‘Parade’ is a conversation between ex-partners set some time after their break up. While the motive is for cathartic reconciliation, it quickly turns into a passive aggressive back and forth of one-upmanship.”

“A lot of the writing that I do comes from Nick Drake, John Martin and Jeff Buckley in its initial state,” says Sam. “I take a lot from The Beatles, Big Star, Neil Young, The Rolling Stones and bands like that - but all of our tastes are eclectic. There are just as many modern influences ranging from Kurt Vile, Angel Olsen, and War On Drugs, to Kevin Morby and Andy Shauf.”
