Obviously since we don’t have Thanksgiving this side of the Atlantic, there’s no obvious stand on when the festive period is actually allowed to begin. If you trusted the High Street, it was about early October, for example. But everyone’s favourite goth popsters Pale Waves have opted to start celebrating already, giving George Michael’s classic a suitably sadness-tinged makeover.
It is, of course, the greatest Christmas song of all time (don’t @ us, Mariah), so Heather and pals have quite something to live up to. Obviously, as literally nothing fazes the foursome, they’ve gone and smashed it.
