Petr Cech has started uploading Foo Fighters and Coldplay drum covers to Youtube

The average goalkeeper might climb up the walls when they lose their number one spot, but when Thibaut Courtois nabbed Petr Cech’s pole position at Chelsea, the latter turned to his favourite hobby.

For the past couple of weeks, Cech has been uploading videos of himself playing drums to some of his favourite songs. He kicked things off with Coldplay’s ‘Clocks’ (footage of Chris Martin and co. playing in Austin, Texas, to be precise) and since then he’s started taking requests.

His favourite band is the Foo Fighters, who he covered last week. “It is not perfect but i wanted to do it in one take without correcting it,” reads the description.

Cech’s even played in a Czech music festival recently, and he’s stated that he’d consider taking up drumming professionally when his football career ends.

There’s no doubt Thibaut Courtois doesn’t have time for this shit, right now. Mark Schwarzer, however - Chelsea’s number three goalkeeping choice - has probably resorted to starting his own one-man band. Maybe he’s D. D. Dumbo in disguise.
