Pity Sex’s co-leader Britty Drake leaves band
“Quitting a band is a lot like a divorce,” she tweeted.
Co-leader of Ann Arbor group Pity Sex, Britty Drake, has left the band after wrapping up their recent tour.
Britty announced her departure on Twitter, writing “quitting a band is a lot like a divorce, except you have to have the awkward we aren’t together anymore talk with a bunch of strangers.” When a fan asked if she was hinting at personal news, the guitarist and singer replied “the news is already out. I quit after our tour,” though she also added ” I think they’re trying to keep it a secret.” Blimey.
Meanwhile, Pity Sex have yet to comment on Britty Drake’s departure. Their last album was this year’s ‘White Hot Moon,’ and they just wrapped up a tour in support of their second record.
