Porridge Radio announce final release ‘The Machine Starts To Sing’ EP
The quartet released their fourth album ‘Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me’ late last year.

Ahead of their upcoming North American live shows beginning next week, Porridge Radio have announced plans to release a brand new EP later this year, but sadly, they’ve confirmed it will double as their final release.
The quartet, who released their fourth album ‘Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me’ late last year, will share ‘The Machine Starts To Sing’ EP next month, when it’s released on 21st February via Secretly Canadian. Written and recorded during the same sessions as the album with producer Dom Monks, the EP is four tracks long, and bears a distinctly different feel to its predecessor.
“This is the last new music from Porridge Radio and marks the end of the band,” the band’s Dana Margolin has said. “The songs on this EP are an important part of ‘Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me’, and mean a lot to us. We are excited for you to hear them. This band has been our life, we’re family now. These tours will be our last. Thanks so much for listening.”
Alongside the news, the group have also shared a first cut from the EP, in the form of ‘Don’t Want To Dance’, a track about “persisting, choosing life, living and trying again”. Listen to it below, and remind yourself of their upcoming live schedule underneath the player.
