Puppy enter ‘The Great Beyond’ with new video
Shameless, lick-stuffed single precedes a forthcoming debut EP.
A defining highlight of all things new music in 2015 has been the rise of Puppy, a scuzzy London outfit embracing the more shameless, showboat-y side of rock ’n roll. Mucky riffs are the name of the game, and they’re centre stage on each of the group’s stirring songs to date.
The group have an EP coming out this Summer on Best Fit Recordings, and it’s being preceded by a new video for ‘The Great Beyond’.
Directed by Billy Howard Price and Puppy, the video stars an unlikely face in an even more surreal setting. Backing the band’s every move is an old guy singing his heart out, karaoke-style. Like Twin Peaks if David Lynch was into metal, it’s an explosive, unpredictable clip.
