On the telly
Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme is going on CBeebies
He’ll be reading ‘Zog’ for the ‘Bedtime Stories’ series.

It’s official. Queens of the Stone Age ringleader Josh Homme is set to take on a very different kind of gig; he’ll be reading a ‘Bedtime Story’ on children’s TV channel CBeebies.
The series sees different celebrities appearing to read a children’s story on the telly. In the past, Elbow’s Guy Garvey has had a go, along with actor Tom Hardy, Great British Bake-off winner Nadiya Hussain, EastEnders hero Guy Ritchie, and Hear’Say legend Kym Marsh.
Now it’s Josh’s turn. He’ll be reading ‘Zog’ by Julia Donaldson; a story which follows an accident-prone dragon, and a princess who would much rather become a doctor instead. The book’s illustrated by Alex Scheffler, and Josh Homme will be reading it on CBeebies on 6th October at 6.50pm.
He’s not the first musician to brave kids’ telly, either. A load of other brave souls - from Wolf Alice, to The Killers - have also had a go. We’ve rounded up the best attempts here.
