Rosalía has returned with a new single ‘Tuya’; watch the song’s video, directed by Stillz, below.
Although the song draws from reggaeton, the song is heavily influenced by Japanese culture, with strings from the Japanese national instrument the koto incorporated into its mix.
Speaking about the song, Rosalía has said, “Exploring is part of who I am as a musician and in the case of ‘TUYA’, inspirations such as reggaeton, Japanese instruments, flamenco and gabber techno coexist at the same level.”
Rosalía’s most recent release was ‘RR’, an EP collaboration with her partner, the singer Rauw Alejandro.
She plays Primavera Sound in Madrid on June 10th, as well as appearances at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival and Belgium’s Rock Werchter later in the summer.
