Slipknot plot four-date 2016 UK tour
The band will return to our shores for four huge shows next February.
Slipknot have announced plans for a four-date tour of the UK early next year.
The band, who released their fifth album ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’ this time last year, have confirmed they’ll be returning to our shores after headlining this year’s Download Festival. The group will be making stops in Cardiff, London, Birmingham and Leeds, with their show in the capital - at London’s Alexandra Palace - being one of the more “intimate” shows of their run.
Speaking of their touring plans, frontman Corey Taylor has said: “Any time we get the chance to come over to the UK, it’s awesome. Hopefully the fans have as much fun as we do. We’ll be putting together a great set for them, and as we fill out the bill with bands, we hope the excitement gets even bigger.”
Their 2016 tour dates are as follows.
FEBRUARY
08 Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena
09 London, Alexandra Palace
12 Birmingham, Genting Arena
13 Leeds, First Direct Arena
Pre-sale tickets for the shows are available on Wednesday 7th October at 9am through the Slipknot OT9 fan club. Tickets go on general sale on Friday 9th October at 9am. The band will also be revealing their new video for ‘XIX’ later today.
