Slow Magic shares ‘Hold Still’ track from new album
Alien-like producer sticks to his instincts - and his mask - on a take from an LP out in September.
Producer Slow Magic keeps a firm hold of his collage mask and claims his location to be “Not From Around Here.” New song ‘Hold Still’ gives movement to this alien theory, with the track taken from his new LP ‘How to Run Away’, out 9th September in the US via Downtown Records.
True to its title, the song’s devoted to the build-up and the sense of static that precedes a big bang effect (in layman’s terms, a ‘drop’). There’s an eerie stillness and a tension to the opening two minutes, but once it reaches its release, this is a track that comes into its own.
‘Hold Still’ links up with ‘Girls’, which was unveiled last month.
Listen to Slow Magic’s ‘Hold Still’ below. He plays live at London’s Brooklyn Bowl (6th August) and Brighton’s The Loft (9th August).
