Slow Skies preview new EP with ‘Bodies’
Karen Sheridan and Conal Herron are set to release ‘Keepsake’, their new EP.
Ireland duo Slow Skies aren’t shy of putting beauty at the forefront of their songwriting, but on new song ‘Bodies’, this sweet, drifting quality unveils something a little darker.
Vivid in imagery and with a pitch-black bleakness, it’s a new track from the pair of Karen Sheridan and Conal Herron, and it previews their forthcoming ‘Keepsake’ EP. Sheridan’s vocals, as always, stick to a strange form, and Herron’s production picks out more organic elements than usual, with bruised marching drums sitting alongside plucked guitar bends.
Alongside the new EP release, Slow Skies are set to support James Vincent McMorrow on 5th October at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire.
‘Keepsake’ is out 29th September via Faction Records (26th in Ireland, 30th in North America).
