Stanley Donwood to display Radiohead, Thom Yorke artwork in new exhibition
Artist is bringing together original pieces and previously-unseen work in Sydney.
Radiohead-affiliated artist Stanley Donwood has announced plans to display 25 years of artwork in a Sydney exhibition, at Carriageworks.
Real name Dan Rickwood, the artist has been working closely with Radiohead since ‘The Bends’ - he’s designed the sleeves for ‘OK Computer’, ‘Kid A’, ‘Amnesiac’, ‘Hail to the Thief’, ‘In Rainbows’ and ‘The King of Limbs’, while working with Thom Yorke on his solo project and Atoms For Peace.
‘The Panic Office’ - running 21st May to 6th June - will display original pieces and previously-unseen art. The exhibition is “a journey through beauty in the subtext”, according to Semi-Permanent.
Donwood’s most recent Radiohead collaboration was on the experimental Polyfauna app, which first showcased music from Thom Yorke’s latest LP, ‘Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes’.
