They bruise easily
Sylvan Esso air new video for ‘Dreamy Bruises’
North Carolina duo’s first album came out earlier this year.
Sylvan Esso are making their new video a family affair, with Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn’s latest clip for ‘Dreamy Bruises’ bringing together long distant relatives, fireworks and a little bit of telepathy for the occasion.
A surrealist video in some senses, it taps into the oddball nature of Sylvan Esso’s pop, as showcased on their eponymous debut album, out now on Partisan.
That debut lacked the mind-reading powers of this new video, mind you - barely-related clips from different scenes and different lives entangle, and it at least seems like there’s a purpose to it all.
