The Coral release new track ‘After The Fair’
Taken from their upcoming new album ‘Move Through The Dawn’.
The Coral have released new song ‘After The Fair’!
The latest release from the band’s upcoming album ‘Move Through The Dawn’, the song follows previous album singles ‘Sweet Release’ and ‘Eyes Like Pearls’.
“It started off as a take on Bert Jansch’s version of Jackson C Frank’s ‘Blues Run The Game’,” says frontman James Skelly about writing ‘After The Fair’, which is the closing track on the band’s new album. “Nick is really good at acoustic fingerpicking, and I wanted it to sound like Lindsay Buckingham, to take away from the obvious folk thing.”
“Fingerpicking is actually the only guitar style I can play,” adds keyboard player Nick Power. “We generally have a stockpile of songs, and this one is actually from the ‘Butterfly House’ period but it made the perfect ending to this album.”
The track comes accompanied by a video that was shot in Llandudno and directed by James Slater. Watch the video below.
