The Middle East have announced they are to split.
The band revealed they are to go their separate ways at the Splendour In The Grass festival on Sunday (31st July). Rumours circulating through the day had led their label to claim it would be an indefinite ‘break’ rather than a ‘break up’, but from the stage The Middle East claimed several times it would be their last gig.
It’s the second time the band have called it a day, briefly splitting in 2008 after releasing their EP ‘The Recordings Of The Middle East’.
The band released their debut album ‘I Want That You Are Always Happy’ earlier this year.
