RIP - The Weeknd cuts his signature barnet in video for Daft Punk collaboration ‘Starboy’

Last week, The Weeknd and Daft Punk released ‘Starboy’, the pair’s collaboration and one of the most anticipated link-ups of the year.

The track now has a new video, and the clip sees Abel Tesfaye killing off an old persona of his, cutting that signature barnet of his along the way. It’s all very strange, looking like something from a Spiderman film, but it fits with the track’s slick feel.

Daft Punk revealed this week that they’re not planning to tour in 2017, contrary to some reports that they were being booked for festivals next summer.
