The Weeknd reportedly arrested for attacking police officer
Reports in America suggest Abel Tesfaye punched a Las Vegas officer.
Canadian R&B singer The Weeknd was reportedly arrested in Las Vegas on Saturday after an accusation that Abel Tesfaye punched a police officer. TMZ state that the singer was released on bail the same day, with the artist posting a photo to Instagram with the caption “Escaped from Las Vegas”, depicting Tesfaye heading towards a jet plane.
Police sources and informants has told TMZ that a fight allegedly occurred in the Cromwell Hotel early Saturday morning. Police officers were called to reestablish order and whilst attempting to diffuse the situation an officer was hit whilst he was removing Tesfaye to the safety of an elevator. The event led to his arrest for harming a protected person, though it looks as though he was released on bail pretty soon after.
