The Weeknd, Schoolboy Q and Rick Ross join forces for ‘Often’ remix

Abel Tesfaye’s reworked this year’s comeback track ‘Often’, and bought in two friends to amp up proceedings.

As it stood already, ‘Often’ was a fairly raunchy song; the sort one might listen to only after procuring a hand-held fan. The track marked The Weeknd’s return back in June this year, and typical of Abel Tesfaye, it was a sexy slow-jam and a half.

Racier still, The Weeknd’s new reworking amps the steam factor up at least three notches, enlisting Rick Ross along with Top Dawg Entertainment’s ScHoolboy Q. The Weeknd’s guest stars bring a little focused intensity to the table, but ‘Often’ still retains the same hazy, slightly sleazy appeal. The lyrics leave little to the imagination, so make sure any small toddlers or parrots who are prone to repeat things are out of earshot before playing this one.
