Violet Grohl to release debut album, ‘Be Sweet To Me’
The May release comes previewed with new song titled ‘595’.

Following the release of songs ‘THUM’ and ‘Applefish’ last year - in addition to various appearances alongside her Dad (in case the surname wasn’t quite familiar enough…), including a 2021 cover of X’s ‘Nausea’ - Violet Grohl has now announced details of a debut full-length and shared another track from the record, ‘595’.
The album, which is set for release on 29th May, was recorded alongside producer Justin Raisen in Los Angeles, and is, Violet says, influenced by late ‘80s and early ‘90s alternative music: “There’s something so powerful about that period of music, from the messaging to the visuals, it’s authentic and raw”.
The record’s arrival will also be precluded by a special Record Store Day release (18th April), a 7” of ‘What’s Heaven Without You’ - a song she wrote following the LA fires last year - backed with B-side ‘Swallowtail’.
