Vistas offer up new glitchy, colour-filled video for 'Retrospect'

Fresh from finishing up a co-headline tour alongside TOUTS, Edinburgh four-piece Vistas have offered up a new video for their infectious track ‘Retrospect’ and we’ve got the premiere of it.

Shot in the band’s hometown and directed by Edinburgh-based photographer Beth Chalmers, the clip’s a glitchy explosion of colour that matches the uplifting guitars of the song and ties into their wider creative concept.

“We wanted the video to reflect the strong orange visuals from our single artwork and really act as a nice visual stamp to tie together the last year,” the band’s Prentice Robertson explains. “Our idea for the glitchy stop motion was inspired by a YouTube binge of OK Go videos one night, there’s a class one they shot in zero gravity in one of those nosedive planes which is pretty sick… maybe for our next one!”
