War Child announce music documentary festival
The charity for children affected by conflict are screening films from LCD Soundsystem and more this autumn.
Film fans, take note - War Child are launching a music documentary festival to raise awareness and funds for their work.
The charity, who raise money and support for children whose families are affected by conflict, are screening a number of music-related flicks across the coming months. Titled Rockumentary, the series will see LCD Soundsystem’s ace Shut Up And Play The Hits shown at Everyman Screen On The Green cinema, alongside a Q&A with the band’s Al Doyle (also a member of Hot Chip, don’tchaknow). Elsewhere, Last Shop Standing - a film examining the ongoing relevance of independent record stores - and Upside Down: The Creation Records Story will both receive airings. There’s more to come too, so keep your eyes peeled.
Limited tickets - with all money going to War Child, natch - and more information can be found right here.
