Watch the brand new video from Atari Teenage Riot for ‘Collapse Of History’.
The final single from their fourth album ‘Is This Hyperreal?’ will be released on the 30th April and comes complete with the video, shot in a mental institution in the suburbs of Paris.
Atari Teenage Riot frontman Alec Empire - who doubles as the head of Digital Hardcore Recordings - had the following to say about the track itself, which sees the band’s alternate vocalist Nic Endo taking lead duties: ‘It is an anthem to our generation. Information overload in the digital age. The track has a big war chant, which went down extremely well with festival crowds since we started playing it.’
‘She takes ATR in a new direction,’ he adds, of Endo’s performance. ‘B52’s, L7, riot grrrl, Blondie, Deee-Lite were an inspiration.”
Atari Teenage Riot will be appearing at this year’s Coachella Festival, before embarking upon more European touring.
