Watch: Clean Bandit Unveil New Single, ‘Rather Be’

Forward-thinking classical-meets-dance group Clean Bandit have been a little bit unfortunate in missing out on the ‘big things happening in 2014’ lists. They’ve been around for two, three years now, with an album promised again and again (it’s definitely coming out next year), to the point where despite the fact that they’re constantly doing exciting new things, they’re no longer pegged in as a ‘new band’.

‘Rather Be’ is a handy reminder that a) they exist and b) they’re great. Coming with the customary clever music video, it’s a song that gets by on the same goofy but endearing mesh of influences as before. The video itself shows a Japanese fan freaking out via hallucinations of various Clean Bandit members appearing in unlikely areas, like deserted beaches and local fish markets.
