Watch: Tripwires Reveal Brand New Video For ‘Shimmer’

Tripwires have also announced plans for a show at London’s Barfly on 20th June, to celebrate the album’s release.

Tripwires have revealed their brand new video for ‘Shimmer’.

Following on from our premiere of the track last month, the band have now unveiled its official clip.

Speaking of the video itself, singer/guitarist Rhys Edwards has said: “We really liked the idea of building a room out of tin foil, but somewhere down the line we got bored of that. We then decided to get a load of people to come down and rollerskate around the set. That was a lot less lonely, and a lot more fun”.

Check it out below.

The track gets taken from their debut album ‘Spacehopper’, which was recorded at the Rare Book Room studio in New York, with the man behind albums from Deerhunter and Animal Collective, Nicolas Verhnes. It’s due for release on 17th June through Frenchkiss Records, and the tracklisting looks a little something like this:

1. Spacehopper
2. Plasticine
3. A Feedback Loop of Laughter
4. Shimmer
5. Love Me Sinister
6. Paint
7. Under A Gelatine Moon
8. Catherine I Feel Sick
9. Wisdom Teeth
10. Tinfoil Skin
11. Slo Mo

Tripwires have also announced plans for a show at London’s Barfly on 20th June, to celebrate the album’s release.
