Watch Wolf Alice play ‘You’re a Germ’ at The Monarch
July 2015 coverstars returned to their Camden roots with an intimate show.
It’s common knowledge that Wolf Alice can conquer any venue, these days. Earlier this week they triumphed on US telly with a slot on Conan. Towards the start of the year - on the day they finished recording their debut album - they joined Alt-J at London’s O2 Arena. Shortly after that came a sold out gig at Shepherd’s Bush Empire, and they’ve a date at Brixton lined up for the Autumn.
But some of their most memorable live moments arrive in smaller haunts, like Camden staple The Monarch. Back in April, Ellie Rowsell and co. went back to their roots, playing a tiny show in a venue they grew up attending night-after-night.
We’ve been given exclusive footage of the band performing ‘You’re a Germ’, from their ridiculously good debut ‘My Love Is Cool’. Watch footage below, complete with slo-mo shots of Theo Ellis looking #pensive.
Wolf Alice are on the cover of DIY’s July issue, out Wednesday 24th June. Preview our cover feature here.
Wolf Alice will play Best Kept Secret (19th-21st June) and Latitude (16th-19th July), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
