Wayde get seriously trippy in the video for ‘Easy (Don’t Be Long)’
It features old video clips, including from Tom & Jerry and retro adverts.
Prepare to go into a seriously psychedelic vortex.
London quartet Wayde unleashed their reverb-filled, menacing
new single ‘Easy (Don’t Be Long)’ just a couple of weeks ago, and they now have
a seriously trippy video to accompany it. A little bit like Wayde’s sound
itself, the clip is explosive, fit to bursting with trippy and pretty ominous
clips from old videos, cartoons and commercials.
There’s a lot going on in this head-spinning video, with
nuns, Tom & Jerry, skateboarders, explosions and Tobey Maguire all cropping
up (surprised it’s not a clip from that scene in ‘Spiderman 3.’ You know the
one). Things do slow down a bit so we can take a look at some nice-looking
porridge with various toppings, but then it’s back to the bizarre collage. Best
strap yourself in for this one.
