Wolf Alice named as ambassadors for Independent Venue Week 2016
120 venues host gigs next January, as part of the celebrations.
Wolf Alice have been confirmed as ambassadors for next year’s Independent Venue Week.
From 25th to 31st January, 120 independent venues participate in the celebrations by hosting special one-off shows. Everything Everything, Childhood and Matthew E White have all signed up for the occasion, so it’s shaping up nicely.
Entering its third year, Independent Venue Week was previously led by Frank Turner in 2015, and Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood in 2014.
Wolf Alice are chuffed to be involved. “We are proud to be ambassadors of this year’s Independent Venue Week and ask for peoples support so these kind of unique, intimate and sweaty shows continue for everyone to enjoy. Venues that we started off playing along with so many other bands have created some of our funniest memories to date. We’d love for that to continue for us and for other bands, please show your support,” they say.
