It’s the third taster of new record ‘Visions Of A Life’
Wolf Alice are back with a third taster of their new album! ‘Beautifully Unconventional’ is the latest taster of the upcoming ‘Visions Of A Life’ LP, and was premiered just now as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on her Radio 1 show.
The track follows the brutal ‘Yuk Foo’ and significantly quieter ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ in previewing the new album, out on 29th September via Dirty Hit.
‘Beautifully Unconventional’ is a rollocking new cut, based around a chunky guitar line. It’s groovy in a way that can best be compared to Beck, with ‘Visions Of A Life’ producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Beck’s bass player, as it happens…)’s influence seen most heavily so far.
The quartet joined Annie in the studio to talk about the track and the new album. “It’s inspired by a friend of mine, imagining us as Christian Slater and Winona Ryder in that film Heathers,” Ellie explained.
The band start an intimate UK tour this Wednesday (16th June). Listen to ‘Beautifully Unconventional’ and view the band’s upcoming tour dates below.
