Wolf Alice play last-minute North London charity gig
Wolf Alice played a last-minute gig at the 300-capacity Nambucca in North London last night (3rd February). Organised to raise money for the UN Refugee Agency’s work helping Syrian families in Jordan, the night also served as a homecoming of sorts for vocalist Ellie Rowsell, who grew up ‘round the corner in Holloway. Coming on stage to the sounds of Nambucca’s most infamous sons, The Holloways, the intimate crowd were treated to songs from early favourites ’90 Mile Beach’ and ‘Fluffy’ to closer ‘Giant Peach’ (complete with a mini circle pit, obv) and the now Grammy-nominated ‘Moaning Lisa Smile’. The set list was:Your Loves Whore Bros You’re A Germ Lisbon 90 Mile Beach Silk Fluffy White Leather Storms Moaning Lisa Smile Freazy Giant Peach
