Young Guns announce intimate Reading & Leeds warm-up shows

The five-piece are currently working on the follow-up to their 2012 record ‘Bones’.

Young Guns might currently be hard at work on their third album, but that’s not stopping them from taking a break from the studio in order to play a few shows.

The band, who are set to perform at this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals at the end of the summer, have now confirmed plans for two live appearances ahead of their Main Stage sets this August.

The five-piece will be taking on the rather intimate confines of Portsmouth’s Wedgewood Rooms and Gloucester’s Guildhall on 19th and 20th August respectively. The shows will be the band’s first headline dates in the UK since last year’s DIY x Dr. Martens #STANDFORSOMETHING show at Bristol’s Louisiana (pictured above). They also come in the midst of the band recording the follow-up to their 2012 record ‘Bones’.

AUGUST
19 Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth
20 Guildhall, Gloucester

Support for the shows will come from Blitz Kids and Only Rivals, and tickets are on sale now. Catch up with the title track from Young Guns’ last album below.
