Describing Peaches’ lyrical content as sex positive is, let’s face it, a bit like describing the sky as blue. On her seventh studio album, the Canadian musician spreads her brash and ultra-horny sentiment across another collection of vibrant, high-energy bangers. ‘Fuck How You Wanna Fuck’ opens with her using a verse of modern, triplet-heavy rapping, an approach she uses a couple of times across these 11 tracks, including ‘Panna Cotta Delight’, which recalls a steamy Southern rap track. She’s good at it, and it fits the aggressive, punchy music with lubricated ease. The album’s pinnacle, however, is ‘Not In Your Mouth None of Your Business’; an outraged, angry defence of the queer community. Its maximalist stabs of guitar feel like swords swinging for the throats of homophobes and conservative prudes; a righteously angry, viscerally thrilling and wittily brash attack that surmises Peaches’ entire oeuvre.
